Obviously, The Nickel Bar has long been gone.
Trying to recapture some nostalgia and sentiment. Often, I pass the area on west 72nd street but cannot remember the exact location. It was mostly frequenly by African American men.
In Manhattan, 30 years ago there was a gay bar named The Nickel Bar which was on West 72nd Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues on the North side of 72nd Street.
